This eerie adventure begins with the “Mansion in Mourning, Séances, Superstitions and Haunted Cemetery Tour”, where you will step into a historic mansion decorated in mourning and uncover the Victorian era’s most fascinating — and eerie — traditions. Learn about elaborate funeral practices and mourning expectations, and the rise of spiritualism, from séance rooms to the Victorian fascination of speaking with the dead.
Following a lantern-lit path to the Thompson family cemetery, you’ll hear a haunting tale of mourning rites, graveyard folklore, and partake in a spooky scavenger hunt. The experience runs for approximately an hour and concludes in the Coach House for refreshments.
