Accessibility
Please note: Due to the historic nature of the mansion and uneven terrain of our grounds and trails, our site is not fully accessible in some areas. The parking lot, Welcome Centre, Carriageway Exhibit, restrooms and Coach House are accessible.
Please call the Welcome Centre prior to your visit to confirm accessibility for your convenience.

For visitor safety and protection of native species, Ruthven Park does not permit boat launch or river access.
Hunting and fishing is not permitted on site. Trespassing after hours is strictly prohibited.

It is free to visit and explore the grounds at Ruthven Park. Tickets for historic house tours and special events can be purchased in-person or online through our Upcoming Events. Admission prices may vary.
Donation boxes are located on the grounds.

Our Historic Mansion tours are a guided tour that takes you through 2 levels of the house. The tour is 45 minutes in length and does involve a staircase. Please see our upcoming events calendar for the next Historic Mansion Tour dates.

Our Hollyhock Gift Shop is located in our Welcome Centre! As a non-profit organization, we value supporting local businesses. Our gift shop is full of handmade goods and items.

Pets are welcome at our grounds and trails so long as they remained leashed at all times. Only service animals are permitted in the historic buildings in accordance with AODA regulations.

Ruthven Park covers nearly 1,500 acres that are composed of a collection of a diversity of ecosystems that provide essential habitat for an amazing variety of wildlife. Carolinian forest, wetlands, riparian and aquatic habitat along the Grand River, meadows, and active agricultural land are all part of this diverse landscape.
